"Integrating Social Media Into an Effective Job Search"

August 7, 2013 (first Wednesday of the month)
1 – 2 p.m. EST

No charge to attend; but you must be a Professional Member of the Career Professionals of Canada. *

We have seen many social media tools come, fade, and go. When does it make sense to suggest online tools to our clients? Which tools do we suggest and to what end?

Consider these questions for the call:
  • Do you promote social media with your clients? Why/Why not?
  • What are the advantages/disadvantages of social media in job search?
  • Are there some clients to whom you would recommend social media and others you would not?
  • What social media tools do you recommend? Why?/Why not?

* A benefit of membership in the Career Professionals of Canada, the Professional Member Tele-Networking session is open to Professional Members of the association only. Tele-networking is a conference call between Professionals Members of Career Professionals of Canada. Each session is delivered in a teleconference format using a bridge telephone line. If you have a phone, you have everything that you need to join the class.

Session topics are selected and outlined in advance with a series of 5 related questions to get participants “brainstorming.” If you are a Professional Member of the Career Professionals of Canada, you are invited to join your colleagues to openly discuss the given topic in a round-table format – asking questions and sharing ideas. Session registration for PROFESSIONAL MEMBERS is free. Depending on your location, long distance charges may apply. Participants are encouraged to register early to reserve their spot.
